Recently, our reading theme was birds. We read an informational story about a Hungry Pelican and read nonfiction books about penguins. We used what we learned to write penguin reports. In media, Mrs. Fay read a story called, Nothing Like A Puffin. In the story, the puffin was compared to many things that were slightly like it; same color, had two legs, had wings, could swim.... Since we learned so much about penguins, we created a class digital book called Something Like A Penguin. The students took pictures with the I-touch, wrote their parts of the story and recorded their reading. Thank you to Mrs. Fay for all of the help in making this project. We hope you enjoy it.
