Our media specialist created this project about voting with my class.

Our class has been reading the Eric Carle book, From Head to Toe.  We have discussed the sequence of animals in the book, as well as the sequence of the body parts.  After reading and rereading the book, we made our own version of the book.  The students chose an animal, decided what body part would move and how that part would move.  They wrote their page patterned after the original book, acted out the movement, and painted their animal.  As a class, we chorally read each page of the book.  The video below is our creation.  We hope you enjoy it.  Comments are always welcomed.

Zero the Hero
Our Zero the Hero cape
Friday we celebrated our 10th day of school.  Zero the Hero introduced himself to our class and brought a sweet treat that was shaped like a zero.  He also brought a cool Zero the Hero cape that one lucky student got to wear for the rest of the day.  Zero promised to come back on another day.... Can you guess when he will come back?  I wonder what he will bring the next time.

I can't believe the first week of school has come to an end.  We have learned much about the rules and being kind to one another.  Our class motto is "We are a family, and we take care of each other."
As a class family, we missed Tommy and David this week.  We can't wait to see them again on Monday.
Please visit this Blog often to see all of the good things we are doing in our class.

Last week our class created our own fairy tale type story.  The students created the characters and the storyline.  They illustrated and narrated the story.  We hope you enjoy it!

As part of our celebration of Dr. Suess we retold and illustrated the book One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.  Here is our version.  Turn up the volume on your computer and enjoy.
